Anisa Kelley earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science
from Newcomb College of Tulane University, and her Juris Doctor from George Washington University. She served as judicial
law clerk to the Honorable John H. Suda, of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia before entering private practice.
She is admitted to practice by the Virginia and District of Columbia bars. She is a member of the Virginia Association of
Defense Attorneys, and has served as Chair of the VADA’s Medical Malpractice Section and on the group’s Board of Directors.
Ms. Kelley is also a member of Alexandria Bar Association, where she serves on the judicial selection committee.
Ms. Kelley’s practice is primarily focused on medical malpractice litigation and healthcare. In addition to defending
healthcare providers in claims of professional negligence, Ms. Kelley also represents clients in health regulatory board
hearings and investigations, and advises clients on credentialing, peer review and risk management matters.
