Jane Lateer focuses in all types of employee benefit matters, including qualified and non-qualified deferred compensation and retirement plans, employee health & welfare plans, and retiree medical plans for corporate, governmental and tax exempt clients. She provides consulting on plan design and compliance, as well as special issues such as fiduciary duty, vendor management, merger/acquisitions, plan terminations, administrative practices, and ERISA claims.

In addition to her law firm experience, Ms. Lateer has served as Vice President for Benefits and Administration at a Fortune 100 consumer products company, where she was responsible for design, compliance and delivery of all employee benefits, HR systems, and payroll. She also has significant expertise gained while working with two employee benefits consulting firms.

Ms. Lateer is a graduate of the University of Illinois where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education and an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology. She graduated cum laude from the T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
