Kathryn E. Kransdorf is an associate with the firm. She practices in the firm's corporate health law practice group and commercial litigation practice group, focusing her practice on insurance coverage, litigation and counseling. She is admitted to practice in North Carolina,Virginia, the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Prior to entering law school, Ms. Kransdorf spent three years working in the insurance industry. During this time, Ms. Kransdorf managed and made coverage determinations for litigated environmental bodily injury and property damage claims involving chemical injuries, pollution, asbestos exposure, mold exposure, latex allergies, and hazardous waste. She also investigated and managed complex bodily injury and property damage claims for a large national account, making determinations regarding coverage, liability, and damages for claims brought against the insured in all fifty states. During this time, Ms. Kransdorf cultivated extensive knowledge regarding the coverage issues that arise in commercial general liability, business automobile/garage, and umbrella/excess insurance policies, specifically with regard to the application of the pollution exclusion.
