Nancy Kaplan is an associate in the Richmond office of Hancock, Daniel, Johnson & Nagle, P.C. She practices in the firm’s corporate health law practice group. Her practice focuses on assisting clients on issues relating to Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, anti-trust laws, HIPAA, Stark II, the Federal Anti-Kickback statute, and patient consent issues. Ms. Kaplan provides guidance on medical research ethics issues. Ms. Kaplan also assists clients in review and preparation of compliance plans and materials.

Prior to working for Hancock, Daniel, Johnson & Nagle, Ms. Kaplan was a law clerk with the Virginia Fourth Judicial Circuit. During law school, Ms. Kaplan was an intern with the Office of the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia where she worked on projects related to HIPAA and Certificate of Public Need.

Ms. Kaplan earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia. She also earned her M.A. in Bioethics from the University of Virginia. She received her J.D., with honors, from the University of Richmond.

Ms. Kaplan is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the American Health Lawyers Association.
