Tom Hancock's practice has been exclusively in the area of health care and administrative law since 1974. Clients include hospitals, nursing homes, psychiatric and substance abuse facilities, outpatient facilities, pharmacies, physicians and other health care professionals, and their sponsoring organizations.

Mr. Hancock’s health care practice has extended into fourteen states over three decades. His practice focuses on acquisitions, sales, mergers, reorganizations, joint ventures, financing arrangements, regulatory compliance, health care planning, medical staff credentialing, quality assurance, peer review, third-party reimbursement, managed care, rate review, and trustee responsibilities. He is Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Legal Medicine, Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University and has served on the boards of directors of several health care organizations. Mr. Hancock is a founding member of the Boards of Governors of the Health Law Sections of both the Virginia State Bar and Virginia Bar Association. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Virginia Business Magazine’s “Legal Elite” and Virginia Super Lawyers Magazine’s “The Top Attorneys in Virginia.”
