The symposium features some of the best, most in-depth analysis of regulatory requirements and risk management issues for ALFs in Virginia. Topics will include: 1) the preparatory work that must be in place to achieve a positive outcome during inspections; 2) the proper implementation of policies and procedures for the transfer of residents to facilities more prepared to care for them; and 3) other policies imposed on ALFs by state regulations. The symposium will also feature a mock trial presentation to demonstrate how these issues can become important in a civil lawsuit.
