Regulatory Representation & Advice
Attorneys in HDJN’s Insurance Practice Group provide representation and advice to clients regarding insurance regulatory issues. We represent insurance companies, captive insurers, risk retention groups, and risk purchasing groups in negotiating the maze of state and federal insurance laws and regulations. We frequently represent our clients before the Virginia Bureau of Insurance with respect to market conduct issues, licensure/registration, approval of transactions, rate/form filing issues, and responding to regulatory inquiries and matters. We also provide opinion letters and guidance as to the application of Virginia insurance law.
